Tonton

Tonton fits users who want local entertainment, Asian series, and TV access in one mobile app. It focuses on Malaysian viewing habits, so users can find Malay dramas, Chinese dramas, movies, live channels, and catch up programmes without switching between many services. At the same time, the Tonton APK also supports both free viewing and paid access through TontonUp, which gives users a clearer choice before they decide how they want to watch.

Main Tonton Features

Malay and Chinese drama streaming

Tonton offers Malay and Chinese dramas for users who follow local stories on their phone or tablet. You can watch new episodes, return to older favourites, and browse selected TV series when you have time. In some cases, selected shows are available 24 hours earlier, which helps regular viewers keep up with current programmes more easily.

Movies across familiar genres

Tonton also includes local and international movies for different viewing moments. You can choose from action, romance, comedy, and family entertainment based on what suits the day. Because the movie section sits inside the same app as dramas and shows, users can move from series watching to a film without changing their viewing setup.

Live TV and catch up viewing

Tonton supports live TV for users who still want scheduled channels on a mobile screen. You can watch local news, entertainment channels, selected live events, and other TV content while away from a television. If a programme has already aired, catch up TV helps users return to shows they missed, which is useful for busy days or irregular schedules.

TontonUp premium access

TontonUp is the paid option inside Tonton for users who want more on demand content. It includes Tonton Originals, exclusive movies, Korean dramas, Japanese anime, and content that is updated regularly. This option is useful if you already use the Tonton app often and want access beyond the free viewing catalogue.

Kids, learning videos, and radio channels

Tonton includes family viewing choices, including kids’ shows and educational videos. TV Tuisyen content supports Form 1 to Form 5 students, so the app is not limited to entertainment only. In addition, radio channels give users another way to listen when watching video is not convenient.

What to Know About Tonton

Tonton is most suitable for users who prefer Malaysian content, especially Malay dramas, local entertainment, and programmes connected to Malaysian TV viewing. It also includes Asian content through TontonUp, such as Korean dramas and anime, so users who watch both local and regional shows may find the catalogue more relevant.

The app includes free viewing options, but some content requires a TontonUp subscription. Before choosing how to use it, users should check whether the shows they want are available for free or placed under premium access. This helps avoid confusion when moving between free dramas, live TV, exclusive originals, and newer Asian releases.
