Suoming arrives on October 22, 2026 as the second five-star of Wuthering Waves 3.7, and she's the more complicated half of the patch. Hsin set the tone: an Electro Rectifier who stacks Electro Flare and detonates it. Suoming is the five-star Electro Sword who was built to sit next to her.

Her damage numbers are solid. The real story is that Hsin and Suoming are the only two resonators in the game who can trigger Unison Response, which means Suoming's value depends heavily on whether you have Hsin.

Wuthering Waves 3.7 Phase 2 at a Glance

The version runs from September 30 to November 11, 2026. Hsin's banner, As Full as Tonight, Forever, closes when Phase 2 opens on October 22.

Lynae's rerun was announced on her 3.5 banner art, Undefined Spectrum. Kuro hadn't published either Phase 2 convene name at the time of the preview stream, so treat the rerun lineup as provisional until the Phase II notice drops.

Suoming fights with an umbrella that doubles as her sword. Attacks build her Forte, and at full Forte her Resonance Skill breaks the umbrella apart. The ribs, canopy and handle each become a separate weapon, which is why her animations read as three attacks rather than one.

Her Resonance Liberation spins her into a hurricane with the umbrella, and after it she enters Unison mode. That's where the kit gets unusual. In Unison, she triggers the Concerto effect of her allies, and her damage continues after she's switched off the field.

A resonator who keeps dealing damage while benched changes how you structure rotation windows. Normally the off-field slot is for buffs and damage amplification. Suoming puts actual output there, which frees your active resonator to stay on the field longer.

Her Outro gives the incoming resonator 20% Electro DMG amplification, plus another 25% Resonance Skill DMG amplification if that resonator carries Unison Boon. Those numbers stack directly on Hsin's kit, which is why the pairing is the point.

Unison Response only fires between these two resonators. Each one turns the other's Unison Boon into damage, a loop that depends on both being present.

That's an unusual design choice for Kuro. Most team-building in Wuthering Waves leaves room for substitutions, and the "best team" for a character usually has two or three variants depending on content. Suoming narrows that to one clear synergy partner and asks you to decide whether that partner is worth the investment.

Hsin builds Electro Flare stacks and detonates them at peak. Suoming contributes off-field damage plus Electro amplification through her Outro. Together they cover active damage, off-field damage and amplification for each other, which is a complete offensive package in two slots. The last slot is free for a healer or a utility resonator.

For players who skipped Hsin, Suoming can still be used as a solo Electro sub-DPS with her Outro buff. Her damage alone is respectable. The problem is that you're paying five-star prices for a kit designed with a partner in mind.

Her signature weapon, Unspoken Rue, shares the same 588 ATK and 24.3% Crit Rate as Hsin's weapon. That parallel is deliberate. Kuro designed the pair to reach similar stat plateaus with their own signatures.

For pulls, the decision tree is simple:

• Have Hsin and want the pair? Pull Suoming, then the weapon if Jades allow
• Have Hsin but no weapon budget? A standard five-star sword still works
• No Hsin? Decide if you want a future-proof Electro sub-DPS before spending

Forged Empyrean's Sigh, Miasmic Branch and Howler Cores are the farm materials. None of them are unusual, so pre-farming is straightforward once the exact quantities appear in the ascension plans.

Echo selection is where most players will get stuck. Suoming's damage carries on after she switches off, which makes echo sets that reward staying on the field less valuable than they look. I'd wait for the community's echo testing to settle before you spend on rolling the perfect set.

What Else Wuthering Waves 3.7 Phase 2 Brings

Phase 2 ships events alongside the banners. Echo Erase opens on October 22, a tapping minigame framed as a flagship release from Second Coming of Solaris, with chibi art of Suoming and Hsin.

The permanent content from 3.7 also matters. Blooms for the Shadow lets you collect Thousandfold Petals around the Simulacrum Nexus and offer them at altars to raise each Heart Realm's stability, with milestones at 5,000, 12,200 and 22,000. Higher stability makes you stronger inside the Nexus, so anyone still working through the Xuanfang arc has a reason to keep collecting.

Past Dreams, Traced Seals is the photo event, also permanent, with Hsin asking Suoming to record the sights of the Nexus. That's the quiet content that keeps a version alive after the banner window closes.

Should You Pull Suoming in Wuthering Waves 3.7

Pull if you have Hsin. That answer is close to absolute. The Unison pairing is the strongest two-character offensive package Kuro has shipped in the 3.7 cycle, and Suoming's off-field damage changes how the pair cycles rotations.

Skip if you don't have Hsin and don't plan to pull her. Suoming is a solid Electro Sword with a good buffing Outro, but her headline mechanic is locked behind a partner you don't own. Spending a five-star pull on half a design rarely works out.

Players sitting on a guarantee and eyeing 3.8 should wait. Phase 2 banners run through November 11, which leaves plenty of time to watch how Suoming performs in the new content before committing.

Final Call on Suoming

Suoming is the rare five-star whose value is easy to calculate. Her kit and Hsin's refer to each other at almost every layer, from Unison Response to Electro amplification to damage windows that overlap. If Hsin is on your account, Suoming is the piece that completes the build.

If she isn't, Suoming is a competent Electro sub-DPS and nothing more. That's not a knock. It's a five-star designed around a specific partnership, and Kuro priced her accordingly.
