Lynda Sumner

Brawl Stars Brawl-O-Ween Season 55 runs all October: the Find Gus event, Coffin Boxes, Loony daily rewards, and a new Brawl Pass. Here's what's worth your time.

Brawl Stars Season 55 arrived on October 1, 2026, the moment Season 54 "Royal Academy" shut down, and this year the Halloween theme runs for a full month. That's the big change. Brawl-O-Ween 2026 isn't a weekend challenge you clear and forget. It's a four-phase story event with puzzles, community votes, and a finale, spread across October into early November.

If you play Brawl Stars even casually, this is the most content-dense stretch of the year. Here's how the pieces fit and what's actually worth your time.

    Brawl-O-Ween Season 55 Is a Month-Long Story Event

Supercell built the whole season around Gus. The balloon-headed Brawler takes a ride at Mortis' Mortuary and vanishes, and the event tracks your hunt for him across four connected phases. New phases unlock puzzles and boss fights over time, so the Brawl-O-Ween you see on October 1 is not the one you'll see mid-month.

That phased structure changes how you should play it. Binge-clearing everything on day one doesn't work, because later content isn't live yet. Log in often, even briefly, and you'll stay ahead of the curve. Skip a week and you'll be catching up on clues the community has already solved. The upside is that nothing in the event is time-gated on one login, so a five-minute check-in a day covers most of it.

The Find Gus Event Runs From October 1 to 12

The opening phase is called Find Gus, and it runs from October 1 to October 12. You explore the Mortis Mortuary theme park, solve clue-based puzzles, hunt for easter eggs, and complete every room. Do all of it and you earn a free Coffin Box.

It plays more like a scavenger hunt than a normal Brawl Stars mode. You're reading the environment, not fighting other players. The payoff for finishing every room is that single Coffin Box, which sounds small until you see what's inside one. Keep the event hub open in the background while you work through rooms, because clues sometimes reference earlier areas you've already cleared. Ten draws per box adds up quickly when you factor in the boss fights and daily rewards later in the month.

Coffin Boxes Are the Season's New Reward Drop

Coffin Boxes are the event's gacha reward, and the important detail is that each box runs ten reward draws from a mixed pool. Coins, Power Points, Credits, Bling, Gems, and XP Boosters all show up, with rarer pulls possible. Supercell has also confirmed every Coffin Box guarantees at least one premium reward.

One thing worth knowing: the reward tier locks the moment the box is awarded, not when you open it. So there's no point saving them for a lucky streak. Open each one as you get it. Hoarding won't improve your odds. That's a quiet quality-of-life detail, and it's the kind of thing Brawl Stars players usually learn the hard way after saving a pile of boxes for nothing.

You'll collect Coffin Boxes from the Find Gus event, the returning bosses, and the daily Loony rewards across the month.

    Meet Loony, Your Home-Screen Companion

Loony is Gus's balloon, and this season it moves onto your Home screen as a reward bank. The loop is simple. Win matches during the day, and six daily wins fill Loony completely. Once all six are in, press and hold the balloon to claim everything stored inside.

The forgiving part: miss a day and the rewards carry over to the next day automatically. For a game that usually punishes you for skipping dailies, that's a welcome change. It ties into the existing daily-win and Chaos Drop systems, so the sixth win still pays out a Chaos Drop. Loony just makes sure you actually bank it instead of losing it to a full inbox. I'd expect this to become a permanent feature if players respond well to it.

The Halloween Brawl Pass and New Cosmetics

The Brawl Pass this season is headlined by Fortune Teller P, a Halloween skin for Mr. P, alongside Cursed Shade chromas. The shop adds Dr. Bellenstein and Terrornaut Damian for anyone who wants to spend gems outright. The pass works the same as always: free track and paid track, with the paid tier unlocking the headline cosmetics plus bonus Coffin Box chances as you level.

Vince, a new Mythic Damage Dealer, arrives in early access during October. He's billed as the spooky barista of the Creepy Cafe, which is about as on-theme as a Brawl Stars character gets. If you've been sitting on gems, the early-access window is usually the cheapest way to grab a new Mythic before the wider unlock options open up. Whether Vince sticks in the meta is another question, and one nobody can answer on day one.

Season 55 Balance Changes and What to Watch

The update ships with a balance pass on top of the event content. The headline change nerfs Shade, who is also a Brawl Pass headliner this season. Supercell cutting a paid reward card the same week it arrives is unusual, and it usually means the card was outperforming in testing.

Balance tweaks like that matter most in the first two weeks, when win rates are noisiest, and everyone is testing the new Brawlers at once. Don't rebuild your main based on day-one impressions. Give the ladder a week to settle.

    Playing Brawl-O-Ween on Android

None of the event changes how the game runs on a phone. Brawl Stars stays a fast, short-match arena battler built around touch controls, three-on-three and battle-royale modes, and that doesn't shift with a seasonal update. Matches still cap out around three minutes, which is why it's one of the easiest competitive games to squeeze into a commute.

A month-long Gus story with real puzzles, a fresh Coffin Box reward system, and a daily-win bank that forgives missed days is more than most seasons offer. The Find Gus event alone gives casual players a reason to open the app every day through mid-October.

The Shade nerf is the only sour note if that card was central to your plan. Otherwise, dive in and pace yourself. Brawl-O-Ween rewards show up daily far more than racing through it. Download the latest version of Brawl Stars from APKPure to jump into Season 55, then start with the Find Gus rooms before the first phase closes on October 12.
