Step 2: Earn the Hellspawn's Guise Weapon Skins

The weapon skins come free, which is unusual for a crossover this size.

Log in, progress through Hellspawn's Vengeance, and the skins land in your account for whichever class you play. Ten of them drop across the track, and they fit any class because they're cosmetic overrides. Grab them early, since they're among the cheapest tiers to reach.

Step 3: Beat Hellspawn's Bane With the New Skills

Hellspawn's Bane brings back the Survivors wave mode with six Spawn-inspired abilities. Each one mirrors a power from the comics.

• Hell Chains whips chains in a cone in front of you, hitting everything they touch.
• K7-Leetha Cloak activates a regenerating cloak that damages enemies in a circle around you.
• Necroplasm fires three fireballs rapidly in the direction you're facing.
• Hell Fire opens a rift in front of you that damages anything inside it.
• Spiritual Manipulation charges up, then roots and damages enemies in an area.

Step 4: Take Down Malebolgia in The Eighth Circle

Malebolgia is the headline boss, and he isn't a solo fight.

He is a ruler of Hell from the Eighth Circle and the demon who creates Hellspawn warriors. He mixes raw strength with sorcery, so expect wide-area attacks and summoned Hellspawn adds. Bring a full party.

1. Assemble at least three players. The cosmetic reward requires MVP status four times in team battles with three or more participants.
2. Watch for Malebolgia's large-scale attacks and clear the adds he summons before they stack up.
3. Chase the weekly time goals for better ranks and more points.
4. Aim for cumulative MVP finishes, since the cosmetic is the prize most players want.

Each rank on the boss ladder pays better rewards. The time goals reset weekly, so a fast clear early in the week sets up the rest of your runs.

Step 5: Grab the Necroplasmic Totem Legendary Gem

The Necroplasmic Totem is a new 2-Star Legendary Gem, and it's the deepest reward on the track.

Its effect is straightforward. Dealing damage surrounds you with Necroplasm, which raises your damage for six seconds, and every few seconds it tries to consume one periodic harmful effect from you. If it eats an effect or you kill an enemy, it fires a Necroplasmic Bolt at a nearby enemy that explodes and burns everything close. There are cooldowns, so it won't chain endlessly.

Pair it with Blessed Pebble, Stubborn Oracle, and Fad for resonance. It fits most damage builds without much tuning.

What Makes the Spawn Crossover Worth Your Time

Spawn is a natural fit for Diablo's world, and the event leans into it rather than slapping a logo on a shop bundle. Todd McFarlane's antihero fights Heaven and Hell alike, which is roughly what your character does every day in Sanctuary, so the chains and hellfire read as thematic instead of pasted on.

The rewards also avoid the usual crossover trap. Plenty of collaborations gate everything behind a shop, but Hellspawn's Vengeance is playable content. You earn Vengeance Marks by doing the work, then spend them on the track. The ten weapon skins and the Legendary Gem come from that loop, not from a wallet.
